A Family Experience

How many hours does one homeschool in a day? It’s never easy to quantify something as ingrained into a family’s lifestyle as educating at home. Homeschooling changes a family’s lifestyle and makes constant learning something that the whole household, top to bottom, lives and breathes.

When you’re on the road, read signs and explore new horizons. When you’re ready for the night, learn Bible stories and good health habits. When you’re doing groceries, just start reciting that multiplication table all over again. The joy of growth and discovery is never limited by time or location!

This June, Kairos celebrates one year of the Lord’s gracious leading in establishing a homeschool provider that serves the unique needs of the Christian, Filipino-Chinese community. By supplying curriculum, community, and guidance for our families, we support every family and child in the Kairos family with love and compassion. We praise the Lord for every individual He has used for His glory! Join us in giving thanks for the Lord’s continuous grace.

Getting Started

The application process for new Kairos students follows just a few simple steps. There’s definitely a time for everything!

  1. Application
    1. Families complete application forms found here.
    2. Families collect documentation required here.
    3. Families submit all requirements to Kairos during the application period.
  2. Assessment
    1. New students and families wait for Kairos to schedule their interviews.
    2. New students and families attend their entrance interviews.
    3. New students receive their recommended grade level.
  3. Reservation
    1. Students qualifying for their grade levels receive welcome information and their official student codes.
    2. Students qualifying for their grade levels reserve their slots for the upcoming school year.
  4. Enrollment
    1. All families, new and former, attend enrollment and orientation.
    2. Families meet each other, receive learning materials, and start their Kairos journeys!

First Time for Everything

The first year of homeschooling is the most decisive for families, and Kairos tries to make it work for you. Not sure how to homeschool? Not a problem.

For families with children 3 years of age, our nursery program includes all learning materials and four skills-based assessments sessions. Parents join our training seminars and workshops as we help you to foster your child’s growth in behavioral, cognitive, academic, language, and physical development. Even young children can learn great things.

For families with older children, we serve you by providing all learning materials and regular checkpoints in the form of quarter exams. Students do their daily work at home before coming to school for exams four weeks each year. It helps to know how your child is doing!

Don’t let the thought overwhelm you. There’s a first time for everything, and we’re right here to help.

Inquiry Visits

Too late for the annual Open House? Set an appointment with our office, and we’ll make sure we address your concerns. Every time a family visits, we make sure to explore your unique needs as a family.

If you’re not sure about homeschooling, a visit is not a commitment! Our administrators talk with each family to help you make the best possible choice. We explore our uniquely curated curriculum, and we go in detail about every little thing that makes Kairos work.

Chinese Education

In a growing global village, Kairos helps in equipping our children by requiring each student to learn Filipino, English, as well as Chinese throughout our grade levels. Preschool students start by listening and learning conversational Chinese, while elementary students add literacy into the mix. Students are encouraged to learn direct character recognition, without relying on phonetic symbols or picture prompts. All students are required to learn Chinese – for speaking, reading, and writing!

Let us partner with your family in raising multilingual learners. You learn a language, you open a world!

Applications are officially open for school year 2017-2018! In order to avail of our full-service homeschool experience, families must submit their complete applications by March 31, 2017.

Opening Grade 4!

Kairos is happy to announce that we are opening our doors to Grade 4 students for school year 2017-2018! Having served families in Nursery to Grade 3 during this current school year, Kairos will expand our horizons one school year at a time to meet the needs of homeschooling families. The adventure never stops!

Open House 2017

Hi everyone! We are excited to offer the perfect opportunity to help you better understand the Kairos experience. Join us from 2-5 in the afternoon on Sunday, February 5, 2017, for a special inquiry session where you can ask questions, peruse our curriculum, tour our facilities, and meet other enrolling families.

The session will be hosted by the United Evangelical Church of Malabon at 45 Gov. Pascual Ave., Potrero, Malabon City. The location is just a few blocks away from Monumento. Please let us know if you need any assistance. We look forward to seeing you!
